Tesamorelin is a synthetic growth hormone-releasing factor (GRF) analog that stimulates the pituitary gland to release growth hormone and subsequently increases IGF-1 levels. It has been clinically studied for its effects on excess abdominal fat in adults with HIV-associated lipodystrophy.
Research areas include: growth-hormone signalling, IGF-1 pathways, body-composition research, abdominal adipose tissue, metabolic health and effects associated with HIV-related lipodystrophy. Tesamorelin research has also examined its effects on adipose tissue and related metabolic markers.
Important: Tesamorelin is an FDA-approved prescription medicine for a specific indication, but the 30mg self-mix vial shown here is not equivalent to an FDA-approved tesamorelin formulation. Approved Egrifta formulations are supplied in different strengths and presentations. This specific product should not be represented as an approved pharmaceutical product.
